In the most recent round of invitations for the International Experience Canada (IEC) 2024 program, over 7,400 work permit invitations were dispatched for the week ending January 26, 2024.
International Experience Canada (IEC) 2024 program Overview
Of these, a substantial portion, totaling 6,864 invitations, were allocated to applicants in the working holiday category. Presently, there are 33,682 applicants from 34 countries vying for opportunities within the Working Holiday pool.
Meanwhile, the Young Professional category saw a surge with over 300 invitations extended, and the International Co-op (internship) category secured over 270 invitations.
This round of invitations adds to the cumulative count of approximately 27,000 invitations distributed thus far in three drawings held this year under the IEC 2024 program.
As per the latest processing update from the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) dated January 23, the processing time for the ongoing IEC season stands at 6 weeks.
