One of the best benefits of having Canada PR is you can live and work anywhere in Canada without having any kind of immigration requirements. You don’t need to stick with one employer, you can be living in any province you want for as many years as you need.

You may need to renew your Canada PR, that is something you can do if you have lived 730 days (2 years) out of the last 5 years.

2. Free Healthcare

If you have Canada PR, you have access to Canada’s publicly funded healthcare system, which provides coverage for essential medical services, including doctor visits, hospital care, surgeries, and emergency treatment. Some people argue that it may not be as profound as it seems but what else you can expect when it comes at no cost.

3. Enjoy Free Places without a pass

Canada PR offers many places to visit for free of cost, these places are usually maintained and operated by provincial government, however, you may not need to buy a ticket if you want to visit in one of these places.

For example, if you live in Toronto, here are some of the best places you can visit for those who are living in Toronto:

  1. Toronto Zoo: Explore one of the largest zoos in Canada, home to over 5,000 animals representing more than 450 species.
  2. Casa Loma: Experience Canadian history and discover Toronto’s majestic castle, complete with secret passages, grand gardens, and stunning architecture.

  4. The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM): Check the different world cultures, natural history, and art through extensive collections and engaging exhibitions at Canada’s largest museum.
  5. Parks Canada: Experience the natural beauty of Canada’s national parks, historic sites, and marine conservation areas, preserving our country’s diverse landscapes and heritage.

4. Allows you to bring your family member

One of the best benefits of having Canada PR is you can bring your family member, this includes your parents, grandparents, dependent child, and even siblings in some cases.

Canada PR comes with many other social benefits. These benefits include unemployment benefits, childcare, old age pensions.

Retirement Benefits: When you get your PR, you will stay here with your retirement benefits such as the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS) after meeting residency requirements.

Labour Rights: You get more labor rights and protections as Canadian citizens, including minimum wage, workplace safety regulations, and employment standards.

Universal healthcare: If you have PR, you can have access to Canada’s publicly funded healthcare system, which covers essential medical services.

8. Integration Support

All the PR holders receive support for integration into Canadian society, including language training and settlement services. These community services are free of cost, and as Canada PR you can easily opt for these support services.

9. Legal Protections

If you are a Canadian PR holder, you will be protected by Canadian laws and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, ensuring their rights are upheld and respected.

10. Citizenship Pathway

Once you get your Canadian PR, you will be on your road to getting Canadian Citizenship. To be eligible for Canadian Citizenship, you would need to live in Canada for at least 1,095 days that is 3 years within the last five (5) years.
